In the development of industrial activities and supply chain selection, the impact of the carbon footprint associated with logistics and the reduction of energy consumption and waste generation are key aspects in the decision, as well as preserving Human Rights not only in their own factories, but also in the supply chain.
According to the aforementioned Purchasing and Subcontracting Policy, and in accordance with the Code of Conduct and the Ethical and Socially Responsible Management Policy, Aciturri seeks to promote among suppliers and subcontractors compliance with basic standards or criteria related to human and labor rights, occupational health and safety of its workforce, respect for the environment and ethical behavior, as well as to disseminate and ensure knowledge and implementation of the United Nations Global Compact Principles.
At Aciturri, we continuously monitor our suppliers’ performance and share a monthly report with each of them based on objective indicators. Also, the company has an assessment procedure in place which establishes the methodology used to perform a standardized evaluation of their industrial processes. It analyzes our suppliers’ industrial capacity and identifies opportunities for improvement, with the ultimate goal of internally evaluating Aciturri’s ability to meet the needs and expectations of our clients. The main tool in this process is Aciturri Supplier Assessment (ASA), which includes the evaluation of four aspects: processes, organization, tools, and indicators. Other tools are IPCA+, PMCA, TDCA, SPCA and SIA.
