Aciturri provides the necessary information and training to its staff to ensure they are aware of and carry out safe and responsible practices, with the aim of promoting a genuine preventive and environmental culture, focused on the continuous improvement of both working and environmental conditions.
All employees receive training, according to their position, in occupational risk prevention, beyond the provisions of Article 19 of the Occupational Risk Prevention Law (minimum schedule of 20 hours of training in the risks inherent to their position). In 2022, 90.40% of the workforce has received on-the-job training under the requirements of the Metal Labor Foundation (Aciturri's Prevention Service maintains its accreditation as a training entity before the Metal Labor Foundation).
In addition to the above, in order to achieve the objective of reducing health and safety risks, the company considers it necessary to involve the entire workforce, through their legal representatives. In the case of Aciturri, 97% of the workforce is represented by prevention delegates in the corresponding Health and Safety Committees. This figure corresponds to the workforce of the companies and production centers of Assembly, Aerostructures Tres Cantos, Aerostructures Boecillo, Aerostructures Ayuelas, Aerostructures Berantevilla, Aeroengines Orón, Aeroengines Ircio, Getafe, Aeronáutica Tres Cantos, Engineering Tres Cantos, and Aeronáutica Ayuelas and Getafe Aerópolis. With the establishment of the latter Committee in 2022, the percentage of the workforce represented will increase from 94% in 2021 to 97% in 2022.
These Health and Safety Committees have been constituted as Safety, Health and Environment Committees, which allows the legal representatives of the workforce to participate in the objectives, policies and environmental actions, in addition to the strictly preventive ones. This step was taken in view of the interest shown by the prevention delegates in participating in environmental management and improvement.
The rest of the locations do not have workers' representatives, so it has not been possible to set up Health and Safety Committees. However, any person in the organization can establish direct communication with the Occupational Risk Prevention department, through the specific e-mail account, by means of the available forms or directly with the OHS technicians at each plant.
The existing Health and Safety agreements are those included in the different applicable collective bargaining agreements.
Likewise, Aciturri encourages the extension of the principles of its Occupational Health and Safety Policy to subcontractors and the supply chain, as stated in the text itself, providing its support and knowledge in preventive and environmental management, in those operations derived from its relationship with Aciturri.
The DELTA system is used to report accidents to the labor authorities.
